The absolute best method of studying the Bible is simply to read it, prayerfully, every day, paying close attention to obey what it says. Meditate on the Scriptures and don’t stop reading until they have somehow worked their words, message, truth, and revelation of Jesus into the very soul of your being. Nothing extraordinary about that, really, studying the Bible is wonderfully simple. Learn to enjoy God’s Word and to apply its truth quickly and you will always find what you seek—His will for your life!

Why Use a Method to Study the Bible?
It has been rightly said that if we fail to plan we plan to fail. This is true when it comes to Bible study too. If you have a desire to study the Bible but don’t have a plan, you will fail. But the good news is: you have many plans to choose from! When it comes to methods for studying the Bible, variety is the spice of life. Unfortunately, Christians don’t always realize this. Don't Give Up On Studying The Bible
Undoubtedly, at one time every Christian has resolved to never let a day go by without spending a portion of it in a focused, prayerful, and enjoyable time alone with God and His Word. They find their Bibles are going unread days at a time due to a myriad of excuses, such as, they got up too late, or had an unexpected early morning event, or a busy schedule, or even the fact that they have simply become dry or spiritually apathetic. Defeat here is defeat all across the board. Make your time with God in His Word the most non-negotiable area of your life and I promise you that you will enjoy the blessings of His presence. The possibilities of Bible study topics and methods are endless; pick one today, and get started. And remember, more important than knowing the Word of God is knowing the God of the Word. He is our exceeding great reward. Bible study helps you to know God; ignorance of Scripture is ignorance of Christ. So please, love your Bibles, and keep close to your Bibles.
I love studying the Scriptures. I love reading and rereading the same stories. I never regret picking up my Bible and spending time with God, learning more about Him and His ways. Wilbur M. Smith said, "There is no sweeter experience than the daily habit of kneeling down at the desk, or table, or chair where we have been studying the Word of God, and pleading the promise we have found before the Throne of Grace, or thanking God for some precious truth which our hearts so greatly needed as the Word was opened that morning.
What treasure can be found in the Bible? I've heard Psalm 19:7-10 paraphrased like this, "The revelation of God is whole and pulls our lives together. The signposts of God are clear and point out the right road. The life-maps of God are right, showing the way to joy. The directions of God are plain and easy on the eyes. God's reputation is twenty-four-carat gold, with a lifetime guarantee. The decisions of God are accurate down to the nth degree. God's Word is better than a diamond, better than a diamond set between emeralds. You'll like it better than strawberries in spring, better than red, ripe strawberries." That is my prayer for everyone who reads this book: you will learn how to discover and be excited by the spiritual riches which can be found in the Bible.
